Ai has always believed in Research & Development as a driver of growth and innovation. Its history is marked by the introduction and testing of innovative construction systems and the adoption of calculation methodologies that are not only up to date, but often cutting-edge. Among the first in Italy, Ai implemented advanced procedures such as Fire Safety Engineering (FSE), dynamic energy modelling, and the calculation and design of innovative building envelope systems, including ventilated double-skin transparent façades.
Over the past 15 years, this approach has been further strengthened through structured collaborations with Universities and Polytechnics, through PhD programmes, Master’s courses, and applied research projects. Moreover, some Ai partners have been serving for over 15 years as adjunct professors in the fields of Energy Engineering, Sustainability, and Hydraulics, and actively participate in research groups across various scientific domains.
Research activities also translate into the partners’ continuous participation in national and international conferences, with presentations and scientific contributions, as well as the publication of articles in specialised journals across different disciplines.
