On September 18, 2025, Eng. Filippo Cosi, partner and head of the Fire Protection and Fire Engineering Division at Ai Engineering Srl, took part in the Safety Expo in Bergamo — Italy’s leading annual event dedicated to fire prevention.
His presentation focused on a highly topical issue: the adaptation of existing building façades to the new fire safety regulations. In particular, the session analysed the challenges posed by the new Fire Prevention Technical Regulation known as RTV.13, which is an integral part of the Italian Fire Prevention Code. A practical case study was also presented, illustrating the application of Fire Safety Engineering methods.
Ai Engineering Srl has been among the first Italian firms to promote this innovative and highly specialized design approach, successfully applying it to numerous complex and high-profile projects nationwide — including protected heritage buildings, logistics facilities, subway systems, public buildings, car parks, and more.
The company is also a co-funder and active contributor to the Research Agreement signed between the Polytechnic University of Turin and the Central Directorate for Fire Prevention of the Italian National Fire Brigade, specifically focused on studying fire safety in building façades.
