On 26 February 2026, the new “DAD Doctoral Studies and Industry Research Center” of the Department of Architecture and Design (DAD) at Politecnico di Torino was presented at the Castello del Valentino by the DAD Director Michele Bonino, the Vice-Rector for Scientific and Technological Innovation Giuliana Mattiazzo, and the Director of the Doctoral School Stefano Grivet Talocia.
The initiative was launched to establish a stable platform for dialogue between universities and companies on topics related to design, technology, heritage, and architectural design.
Together with SECAP S.p.A. and Fantino Costruzioni, Ai Engineering signed the Memorandum of Understanding already in December 2025, formally initiating the Center. The company will contribute to the research stream “Construction Processes and Products”, promoting applied research projects and industrial doctoral programs aimed at bringing innovation to construction sites and design processes.
