Construction of a new natural tunnel (adjacent to the existing one) and widening of the current tunnel to improve road safety.
Work on the ITALIA Square:
Upgrading of the entrances and the square
Restoration of local roadways
Renovation of the ANAS road maintenance building
Demolition and reconstruction of the existing bridge over the Rio Panice
Works on the FRANCE square:
Remodeling of the slope with reconstruction of the hairpin curves
Construction of a new viaduct crossing the Ca’ ditch
Road support works (reinforced earth, tensioned retaining walls, and bolted walls)
AK directly oversaw:
Technical assistance and geological/geotechnical consulting during the execution of underground works (detailed construction drawings), design of the alternate alignment on the France side (tunnel portal, new underground section). On-site assistance during the construction phase for the completion of the portal works.
