The IASS 2026 – IWSS 2026 International Symposium is currently taking place in Turin, bringing hundreds of researchers, engineers and architects from over 40 countries to the city until September 18. The event is centered on the theme “R-Evolution of Shapes: Sustainability, ReUse, and New Design Paradigms,” dedicated to the future of shell and spatial structures, and its opening ceremony included a keynote by architect Dominique Perrault.
Organized by the Politecnico di Torino, with venues split between the Politecnico and OGR, the event marks the return to Italy, after nearly twenty years, of the international symposium founded by Eduardo Torroja, a global reference point for those working on innovation, sustainability and new design paradigms in the structural engineering field.
